Our college has made great strides in improving safety protocols over the last few years, in response to local incidents and requests by the college community. We invite you to explore the various safety initiatives SRJC has undertaken regarding emergency preparedness, campus, building, personal safety, and injury illness prevention.
- Emergency Preparedness
The district is continuously evaluating and preparing for various disasters and critical incidents. Recent initiatives include:
- Equipment and supply purchases (including generators, light trailers, traffic signs, etc.)
- Micro-grid installation and implementation to serve as backup electricity for the district
- Ongoing drills and training for Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and Incident Command Post (ICP) personnel
- Campus and building-specific emergency training is provided to the Building & Area Safety Coordinators of each District building
